THE EVERGLADES NATURAL HISTORY ASSOCIATION acknowledges gratefully the encouragement and help of Mr. C. M. Goethe of Sacramento in launching this magazine. We recognize Mr. Goethe, also, for the many years of active interest which he and Mrs. Goethe have taken as private citizens to abet the objectives and effectiveness of naturalist programs in the National Park System.
